Jessica first became aware that singing was going to be a part of her future when an early piano teacher strongly suggested that she pursue that path. She later auditioned and was accepted to The High School For The Performing Arts in NYC, where she grew up. It was there that she discovered and began studying Jazz and had the opportunity to perform alongside Jazz legend, Jon Hendricks at Lincoln Center. It was also there, in her Senior year, that she became a finalist in the prestigious Lena Horne Jazz and Gospel Vocal competition for NYC High school Students and performed live for Ms. Horne. This paved the way to being accepted to an intense summer program at The Eastman School of Music, where Jessica was the only Jazz Vocal student admitted.

In 1992, Jessica headed West to the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she would become the first ever Jazz Voice student. She studied under Mary Ellen Tanner and Phil DeGreg and graduated in 1996 with a BA in Jazz Voice. Jessica is also a certified Level I teacher of Somatic VoiceworkTM: the LoVetri Method. She now enjoys performing all over Cincinnati with amazingly talented local musicians and continues to study under Wendy LeBorgne, PH.D and Director of The Professional Voice Center of Cincinnati.
